The Art of Living

Individual, Couple, Family and Group Psychotherapy

The Art of Living is a Center for Psychotherapy and Personal Growth. Michael Schaal M.S.W. and his wife Judy Breitmeyer M.A., M.A., co-founded the Art of Living in 1990 after having worked together for seven years. They designed the setting of the practice in a way that ensures that no one thinks or feels like they are entering a clinic. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a comfortable waiting room and offices that reflect each therapist’s taste and personality.

The Art of Living is a group of Independent Practitioners who consult with each other formally once a week and informally as needed. Some of the therapists have other areas of specialization.

The Art of Living is characterized by professionalism. Each therapist is licensed to practice in her/his own profession. All who work at the Art of Living practice skillfully, competently and ethically, with the goal of providing excellent psychotherapy services to their clients.

In addition to Michael Schaal and Judy Breitmeyer, the therapists at the Art of Living include Meg Beliveau M.S.W., Ellen Kirschner M.S.W., Becky Sparks M.S., and Leah Wittenberg M.A.C.P.

The name of the practice, Art of Living, was deliberately chosen from our belief that living can be artful if it happens consciously and skillfully.
