Michael Schaal, LICSW
Michael Schaal is a Licensed Independant Clinical Social Worker in private practice since 1977. In 1990, Michael co-founded The Art of Living, a center for psychotherapy and personal development in Burlington, Vermont. He currently still practices psychotherapy at the Art of Living. Michael strives to live from the “deepest places”. He believes that his psychotherapy practice with his clients contributes to the possibility that they can live from these “deepest places” as well.
Michael provides a safe space for LGBTQ people and for members of all races and cultures.

He is committed to the necessity of respecting individual and human rights and the need for people everywhere to hold their differences in peaceful and respectful ways. Michael deeply believes in the resilience of people and the capacity of individuals to grow and shape their lives and their relationships.
